The plus-size clothing brand for women, claiming the right to look good from size 42 to 58.

 

After 30 years in graphic arts and communications, Nathalie, founder of Les Militantes, decided to create a plus-size women's clothing brand.

Because it had been 25 years since she said goodbye to size 42 ... 25 years since fast fashion was the only one to want her, while she was looking for dresses, jackets and skirts from designers who were shunning her.

She has taken part in dozens of meetings, customer presentations, seminars... each time with a challenge: finding a chic, trendy and impeccable outfit to look comfortable and presentable.

Over the years, she has met and talked with many women in the same situation as her. They all agreed that this situation was not normal, and that the fashion world needed to look at curvy women and dress them...

Because nearly 60% of women in France wear size 42 and up.
Because in France, when you dress in size 48 you have 71 times less choice of clothing than when you dress in size 38 (imagine in 54 or +)
Because 80% of French women who dress in large sizes feel discriminated against, that they can't find the ready-to-wear outfits they like, that they dress out of spite and not out of taste.

A first collection was born in September 2021, and since then many new models have been created.

Fluid dresses to wear with boots or heels, wool and cashmere coats in black, camel or electric blue, silk shirts to wear with a skirt or suit to work or jeans for casual chic, blouses in airy viscose, blazers in thick, colorful velvet for weekdays or weekends.

And since every woman has a different figure, Nathalie has decided to offer her pants in 2 different morphologies, for those with wide hips or rounded buttocks.

Each piece is created, modeled and made in Paris in small workshops with unrivalled expertise. A jury of experts has awarded the Fabriqué à Paris label to Les Militantes.

As a high-end plus-size clothing brand, fabrics are chosen with care. Materials derived from petrochemicals (polyester, polyamide) are banned as far as possible, in favor of less polluting materials (viscose, cotton, linen, tencel...) that are more breathable.

 

The modeling is done by a specialist in generous curves. 
This means that sleeves, cuffs and trouser bottoms are designed to allow all parts of your body to pass easily and comfortably.

Naturally, particular attention is paid to the quality of the finishes on the models on offer. Each piece is designed to be worn in all circumstances. At the office, in the evening, at the weekend, our clothes adapt to all your activities. 

Women's plus-size clothing on pre-order every week

Almost every week, a new model is offered for pre-order. The long, flowing, printed summer dress, the perfect cotton tee with its large V-neck and elbow-length sleeves, lined wool pants for winter, plain or printed blouses, and even XXL pareos to envelop every body on the beach. Timeless, quality plus-size clothing for women, from the most basic to the most daring.
Gathers and puffed sleeves are the Les Militantes signature, for a chic, elegant, refined and bohemian look.

For 2 weeks, you can pre-order the pieces of your dreams. When the pre-order is closed, the models go into production and are dispatched less than 3 weeks later.
